世界卫生组织列出以下的病症以针灸治疗有显著的功效

In an official report, “Acupuncture: Review and Analysis of Reports on Controlled Clinical Trials”, the WHO (World Health Organization) has listed the following symptoms, diseases and conditions that have been shown through controlled trials to be treated effectively by acupuncture:

 

 

  • low back pain 腰痛

  • neck pain 颈部疼痛

  • sciatica 坐骨神经痛

  • tennis elbow 网球肘

  • knee pain 膝关节疼痛

  • periarthritis of the shoulder 肩周炎

  • sprains 扭伤

  • facial pain (including craniomandibular disorders)  面部疼痛（包括颅颚障碍）

  • headache 头痛

  • tempromandibular (TMJ) dysfunction 功能障碍

  • rheumatoid arthritis 类风湿关节炎

  • nausea and vomiting 恶心和呕吐

  • postoperative pain 术后疼痛

  • stroke 中风

  • essential hypertension 原发性高血压

  • primary hypotension 原发性低血压

  • renal colic 肾绞痛

  • leucopenia 白细胞减少
